The White family provided me with a somewhat unique challange to create a design that would work on a day to day basis as well as when they had special occasion parties for their extended and large family. One of the first things I do when I start a design is determine if we are creating a space that will accomidate multiple cooks. Often, when there is more that one cook in the kitchen at a time, I do my best to include two work triangles that will not intersect. This open layout with an island that featurs seating for guests works perfectly for entertaining. Add in the two sinks and two dishwashers, quartz counters, upgraded professional appliances, and generous natural light yeild a bright and upbeat feel to the space. The Omega opaq...

I tend to fall in love with a overwhelming majority of the people that I design and build for. The special ones I will designate as special VIP customers and I keep a silent list this I keep in my head. Once we finish a projects, I am often asked if we would consider coming back to take care of smaller projects when the need arises. Where it gets tricky is that I have to be careful about maintaining the priority for previous projects for which I have already made time commitments. As one of our foundational standards at TurnerBuilt is that we are accountable, we take scheduling very seriously, and therefore when we commit to start and completion dates, we no kidding are going to be on time (and on budget). Contempory kitchen with vertical straight grain oak flush doors with a full overlay. We removed a wall and removed a post that really opened up the space and gave us plenty of room to create the island that she wanted. The hand made tiles set vertically carry repeat the cabinet door grain nicely and give it some rythm. The natural stain on the red oak floors were carried through, as the rest of the house was built with them.

I was the lucky one who had the opportunity to take their wish list and design a space that was a perfect fit for their needs. When I told them that TurnerBuilt could take them through all of the paces, from design, selections, to build out, and permitting, that sense of overwhelm disappeared! And such precious people, too!

Light, bright, open and clean were their priorities, so taking away the wall of cabinets that seperated the dining room in favor of adding a peninsula connected the rooms and created more working counterspace.

This coastal cottage was built at the turn of the century (the one before last), and had little TLC until the clients decided it was time for a facelift. The design called for not only a new kitchen, but included the adjacent laundry room as well.

Another TurnerBuilt masterpiece kitchen that we recently completed. The two-toned painted cabinets by Omega go well with the limestone tile floors and zinc countertops. Feeling fortunate to have clients such as these that continue to challange and inspire the design and build process!
